I am pleased to be invited as an artist for the 1st anniversary exhibition of LYURO Tokyo Kiyosumi. Since it is a renovated hotel by the Sumida riverside, I will present landscapes related with "waterside" for two months.

KIYOSUMI-GO-ROUND captured the riverside landscapes of Kiyosumi Shirakawa area in Tokyo, Japan. Somewhere in every landscape, there is Mr. Kiyosumi Shirakawa Guide with a blue flag.

Humans are made alive by nature.

Nature keeps beautiful by human touch.

JAPAN-GO-ROUND captured landscapes of nature touched by human.Even if it looks like untouched wild nature at a glance, there are always human communities near by. I've been having short trips from Tokyo to rural areas of all across Japan since 2013, and I always end up with nding the essence of how we live. It is because there still exist traditional land use that have evolved from local communities' long-term efforts to adapt to their surrounding environments and enjoy their bounties in a sustainable manner.

隅田川沿いのリノベーションホテル「LYURO 東京清澄」のオープン 1 周年にあたって、『水辺』にまつわる写真展を 1 階のギャラリースペースにて開催いたします。

会期前半は、清澄界隈の住人には欠かせない謎のガイド「清澄白河ガイド」さんと、今回のために撮り下ろした風景をご紹介。会期後半は、日本各地の里山・里海の風景を切り取ったシリーズ『JAPAN-GO-ROUND』より、水辺のある風景を展示いたします。初夏の清澄散策がてら、水辺のギャラリーにいらしてください。
